Our association was created to form a pro Speckled Trout tournament series along the Gulf Coast. We currently have stops planned along Louisiana for 2010. Our future plans are to add tournaments in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. We will then have divisions, with each division holding at least 4 tournaments per year. Teams will be allowed to fish in more than one division.
Registration for the first four stops on the 2010 SFA Pro Speck Series is now open. All Pro Speck Series events are a two-day two angler team event. Entry fee is $300 per team. All anglers must be SFA members. Limit of 150 teams per stop. $24,000 total payout for a full field. The full field fishes both days, no cuts for day two. Registration for each stop is a "first come - first serve" basis for all stops.
Teams can register by printing and filling out a registration form from our website at www.sfafishing.com. A minimum $100 deposit is required with registration and the remaining balance due by deadline date for tournament entered. When registering for all four tournaments, a minimum $300 deposit reqiured with registration and the remaining balance due in three installments of $300. Teams can also register on our website with a credit card.
Teams are not required to enter all the stops on the series. Top 50 teams at each stop will be awarded points, that will follow them throughout the series. The points champion at the end of the tournament series will win FREE entry into the following year's tournament series.
